A True Day in the Life of Entrepreneurs

We all talk about being our own boss but when it comes to actually starting a business, the euphoria of independence can wear thin. Entrepreneurship takes commitment, sacrifice, patience and, most importantly, knowledge. As a result, there are a number of fundamental entrepreneurial components that must be addressed and understood before, during and after a new business venture. This workshop will explore the range of interpretations and actions on the role of black leadership through entrepreneurship. The overall goal of the workshop is to provide multiple, divergent examples of how people can take on leadership roles in broader African American business development. Our stellar group of entrepreneurs will offer the tools, resources and guidance to help participants confidently start their own business. Additionally, the panelists will discuss the personal and psychological impacts of failure.
