Experience:
Maureen worked at a young eBay as an international tech anthropologist,
Global Product Strategy Manager, and Sr Product Manager in the New
Business Division. She created and implemented strategy to
enter
international markets and create new businesses in the Web 2.0
space. Prior to HBS, she assisted Independent Producer David
Koplan and Talent Manager Sandra Chang, who represents clients such as
Zach Braff, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Paul Dano. This past
summer, she interned at Pixar, where she developed and implemented
production processes for the Toy Story 3 Production team.

Work Experience:
Prior to attending HBS, Jack spent four years with book publisher Simon
& Schuster as a Publishing Associate, working in the main
publishing office. While there he edited books including Catch This! by
Terrell Owens, The Movie Business by Kelly Crabb, and Touchdown Jesus:
Faith and Fandom at Notre Dame by Scott Eden. During the summer of 2008
he worked for Brightcove, the leading provider of online video
software, where he developed corporate and marketing strategy
recommendations.

Jason

Work Experience:
As a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, Jason spent much of his
time assisting Fortune 500 clients across a variety of
industries
in optimizing their customer acquisition efforts, retention strategies
and loyalty programs. His has also played integral roles in
projects aimed at minimizing a leading publisher's periodicals
distribution costs and integrating two major consumer healthcare
companies. Jason spent the summer in Seoul, South Korea as
part
of Samsung's Global Strategy Group, where he crafted
the growth plan for a newly formed interactive marketing
division
of the country's largest advertising agency.
Extracurriculars:
Active member of the TechMedia and Turnaround clubs. Produced
two
albums as lead singer/lyricist in rock bands. Award-winning

Work Experience: Prior
to HBS, Evan spent two years with Hellman & Friedman, a global
private equity firm based in San Francisco, CA. His work
focused
on assessing and completing investments in the software and
consumer/retail industries. Previously, Evan spent two years
in
the Corporate Strategic Planning Group at The Walt Disney Company,
based in Burbank, CA. In this role, he assisted in
M&A
execution, corporate-wide five-year planning, and a variety of
strategic advisory projects.

Rick

Work Experience: Prior
to HBS, Rick spent four years at Microsoft doing a mix of product
management and product strategy as part of the Marketing Leadership
Recruits program. He focused on content and advertising
strategy
for a number of online services, including MSN.com, Live Search,
Hotmail, and Virtual Earth/Local Search. Rick also spent 18
months at Tribune Publishing and worked as an IT consultant at
Waterstone Consulting. Most recently, Rick interned within
Facebook’s business development team and also interned at IDG
Ventures, where he advised on digital media companies. He is
currently an advisor to i2we, an IDG portfolio company.

Alex
Rosenfeld, Music

Work
Experience: Alex's personal and professional passion for
the media industry dates back to his undergraduate years at
Princeton, where
he was editor-in-chief of the Nassau Weekly, the
most widely read weekly paper on campus; creator and coordinator of the
Frist Concert Series; and DJ at WPRB Stereo 103.3 FM, the first college
FM station in the United States. He was also awarded the
Creative Writing Program Prize in 2001. After graduating
Princeton, Alex joined the Media Investment Banking group at JPMorgan,
after which he joined Alta Communications, a media-focused private
equity firm in Boston. Alex spent the summer of 2008 working
in the Global Digital/Ticketing Group at Live Nation, the world's largest concert
promoter, based in Los Angeles.

Work Experience: Gabrielle’s diverse background is capped with two “magical” years working for The Walt Disney Company as an independent Public Relations & Communications Consultant based in Orlando, FL. During her tenure, Gabrielle was responsible for pitching story ideas and photographs to domestic and international media in both the print and online space. She also spearheaded more than 100 celebrity photo shoots, assisted in the development and execution of the “Year of a Million Dreams” press event and wrote over 40 nationally distributed press releases. Prior to her work at Disney, Gabrielle interned within Motorola’s marketing communications department, and worked as a writer for several regional magazines and newspapers throughout the state of Florida.

Nick Soman, Co-VP Marketing & Communications (nsoman@mba2010.hbs.edu)

Work Experience: Prior to HBS, Nick worked for four years as a Senior Consultant with Strategic Decisions Group, presenting and implementing strategy recommendations at the world’s largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology, device, and diagnostic companies. He also founded and sold a small food delivery startup in Berkeley, California and founded the nonprofit Speak On It to provide free public speaking workshops for at-risk youth. Nick’s love for music dates back to singing in a high school band, and he currently serves as a business consultant for San Francisco’s Magik*Magik Orchestra.

Work
Experience: Caren is the former Director of Marketing & Events of Paste magazine, deemed "the best among American music titles" by The Wall Street Journal and nominated for the prestigious National Magazine Award for General Excellence. During her three-year tenure at Paste, Caren grew Paste's readership from 200,000 to 495,000 by managing subscription campaigns, strategic partnerships and grassroots marketing efforts. She also planned and executed all of Paste's lifestyle events and concerts. Prior to her work at Paste, Caren interned with MTV and BBDO. She is a former advertising delegate of Magazine Publishers of America, and has written for a number of B-to-B and consumer publications.
Extracurriculars:Elected Representative, Student Association Social Committee; Member: Business of Sports, Marketing, TechMedia and Triathlon clubs. Co-author of the upcoming children's book, An Indie Rock Alphabet Book, to be independently published in early 2009.

Experience: Prior to HBS, Jason was the Manager of Marketing Finance for Universal Studios Home Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA. He was responsible for overseeing all direct marketing expenditures and for creating marketing P&Ls for each new DVD release. This role required him to work closely with the Brand Marketing team to analyze the potential profitability of each new title and to coordinate with the Creative, Publicity, DVD Productions, and Market Research departments to develop appropriate budgets in support of these releases.

Work
Experience: Prior to Harvard, Aland was an Advertising Solutions Manager at Yahoo! in New York. While there, he managed sales and marketing strategy for its commercial partnership with the NBC owned Telemundo network. Prior to his role in New York, he managed the media advertising business for Yahoo! Games, the largest gaming site on the web (20M+ Monthly Unique Users). Aland began his career in Media/Entertainment at Warner Bros., where he was one of ten global trainees selected for a one-year rotational leadership program that consisted of broad-based work experience and classroom instruction within children’s entertainment.
Extracurriculars:Elected section representative for Leadership & Values. Co-Director of Gaming & Virtual Worlds Panel for Cyberposium-2008. One of thirty MBA students admitted nationally to attend the Procter & Gamble MBA Marketing Summer Camp in 2008. Member: Tech & Media, Venture Capital & Private Equity Clubs. Work
Experience: Brad worked for ABC News in New York, mostly for Good Morning America. He began working as an editorial assistant and later helped launch the Weekend Edition of the show. It was there that he began producing stories and traveling broadcasts of his own. He covered a range of stories from feature to hard news, most recognizably: Hurricane Katrina, the Virginia Tech Massacre, and the 2004 and 2006 elections. He worked on broadcast originations from New Orleans, the White House, and Buckingham Palace. After leaving Good Morning America, Brad went on to work in the Disney/ABC Digital Media Group where he was a Product Manager working on ABC News' digital properties. There he managed a strategic partnership between ABC and Facebook to cover the 2008 Presidential Election and worked to improve the positioning of ABC News' various digital properties, leveraging his interests in both news and digital/new media.
