Welcome to HBS LGBT Student Association, Student Clubs of HBS, Inc.

Current HBS Students

Everyone's Welcome -- Join Us!

We encourage all current HBS MBA and DBA/PhD students to join us. That includes straight allies as well as anyone who is LGBT or questioning. Membership is free.

Involvement can be as simple as being on the email list or as much as taking a leadership role or anything between!

A lot is going on! Join us for social, outreach, Admissions, and/or recruiting events.

We also collaborate closely with the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus, an umbrella group for all Harvard University students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Club Email List

To join the club email list, just email one of the co-presidents.

We also maintain a "BCC" list for those who wish to keep their involvement completely private. This means you will get all of the club emails on blind copy, and your identity will only be known to the club co-presidents. Email either of us to sign up. Confidentiality assured (we were in your shoes once, too!).

Coming Out and Questioning

Questioning one's sexual orientation or gender identity is very painful. People go thorough this at many different times in their lives. Every year, a small handful of our classmates decide that HBS is the right time to become more open about their questioning or coming out.

We are here to help! A great first step is to get on our BCC email list (described above). You will find that your new friends in the LGBT club are extremely supportive. We have been through what you are feeling right now.

Online Resources
A ton of helpful information is online... you will find answers to many of your questions! Check out the Human Right Campaign's guide to coming out. Also take a look at Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.

Harvard Mental Health
Many of the clinicians at Harvard Mental Health specialize in helping people through the questioning and coming out process. You can search their clinician directory online to find one. It's free and confidential! They have helped many a classmate of ours.
